HiJackThis log follows (copied and pasted here) : I hope that we will find out what is going wrong. If you need any other hardware and/or software information, I will be glad to provide it to you. My pc runs Windows XP Pro, Greek language edition, SP3.
I don't know if there's a problem with the latest Spybot update or not, but I cannot understand how a Microsoft windows essential file is considered by Spybot to be infected just after installing the latest update, even in case that I go back to a clean HDD C:\ configuration with Norton Ghost.
Then I updated Spybot again with the latest update, made a full scan and realised again that the same thinks happen. Having a clean Norton Ghost backup of my pc, I replaced all my C:\ hard disk with the Ghost clean backup. I accepted repair of the problem found, rebooted system again and immediatelly after that, on starting windows, a system (windows) message appears saying that File ptipbmf.dll is missing which is essential for the windows system operation !!! I did as advised, rebooted my pc, Spybot started over again and finally detected that virtumonde.sdn was residing in When I made a scan of my pc with Spybot, a popup window appeared suggesting me that I have to reboot my pc and startover.Īt this point, the bar at the bottom of Spybot's UI shows virtumonde.sdn. I use Spybot Search & Destroy for more than one and a half year, being absolutelly satisfied and protected and having NO problems with it at all.īut, after an update of last week (), strange thinks started happening. I am afraid that today is my turn to ask for help.
